Sorensen Architects, Inc. is looking for a full time Manager of Architecture. 

No telecommuting. No relocation bonus or any reimbursement of expenses.

Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):


  • Will work closely with Upper Management to oversee all projects and project teams, supervising Project Designers and drafters, ensuring detailed architectural drawings are up to company standards. 
  • Will work in parallel on a variety of project types and sizes within the office, and during all project phases and areas including: conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction detailing, consultant integration and coordination, specification/ product research, interior design, importing, and construction.
  • Assess current ArchiCAD workflows to improve project productivity and efficiency, including developing protocols/standards, library management, bespoke library parts creation, 2D drawing techniques, 3D modeling techniques, favorites, translator maintenance and other relevant workflows. 
  • Maintain and update the current practices ArchiCAD templates necessary for drawings. 
  • Develop and maintain the practices CAD/BIM manual. Ensure correct set-up and continuing maintenance /audit of ArchiCAD files to comply with BIM Execution Plans and practice CAD protocols, setting-up regular reviews with the project team and review modeling/ drawing techniques. 
  • Determine, negotiate and agree on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications; assess client requirements and ensure these are met.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) in Architectural Engineering
  • Certificate in Technical Drawing
  • Certificate in Archicad MEP Modeler 

Special Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must also be fluent in both written and spoken Spanish 
  • Knowledge of ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Twinmotion, V-RAY, Adobe Suite
